As a unique mobile health app, the ZMD App delivers crucial information on healthy pregnancy and taking care of newborns for both the general public (women and their families) as well as frontline health workers, to help bridge the knowledge and skills gap as well as reduce maternal and newborn mortality across the globe.

The Zero Mothers Die 2.0 App has been launched on International Women's Day for iPhones and Android devices and is available in English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Swahili, Amharic and Oromo, with specific adaptations available for DR Congo and Peru. The app has been developed by the Zero Mothers Die global partnership initiative, which seeks to deploy mobile technology solutions to reduce maternal and newborn mortality across the globe.
In particular, the Health Worker content is sourced from ORB by mPowering, an impressive library of mobile-optimized multimedia content for the training of health workers in maternal, newborn and child health issues launched my mPowering Frontline Health Workers.
